Musical Theater Teacher
Marina Voznaia is a native of St. Petersburg, Russia, and only recently arrived to live in the US. Marina completed her studies at the St. Petersburg Tchaikovsky School of Music and then graduated with honors from St. Petersburg’s Teachers’ Music College No. 3 where she studied piano and voice. While in college, Marina conducted private and group voice, piano and music theory lessons for students from 3 to 25 years old. She subsequently worked as a ballet accompanist and continued her studies at the St. Petersburg Herzen State Teachers’ University majoring in Music with a specialization in piano.
Marina received her Master's degree in Vocal Studies from the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory. During her course of studies, she performed in Germany, Switzerland, Italy and England. Concurrently, during her last year of studies, Marina joined the St.Petersburg Mariinsky Theater Choir as a soloist and worked there for several years. As a member of the Choir, she participated in choral and theatrical tours to various countries, including the United States, Israel, Japan, China, England, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France and Austria.
After becoming a mother, Marina transitioned from intensive travel and stage performances to teaching music at private kindergartens and elementary schools in St. Petersburg as well as performing as a soloist of the a cappella church choir in St.Petersburg’s Cathedral of St.Catherine. We are excited to welcome Marina as part of our staff at GKRS and as a Musical Theater teacher.
