Congratulations to GKRS Math Circle students who received awards in the Math Kangaroo and MOEMS competitions!
Math Kangaroo is an international math competition for students in grades 1-12 and this year, had almost 30,000 participants in the US alone. Top 20 scores nationally at each grade level are awarded prizes, as well as top 3 scores at each grade level are awarded in the state.
In Math Kangaroo, our students achieved national and state awards: Katie Fradkin (2nd state, 4th national), Nikolai Nawrocki (16th national), Maria Butterworth (17th national), Ari Shpilman (18th national), Anna Butterworth (19th national). Also congratulations to all winners who took the exam at GKRS!
MOEMS is a math olympiad for students in grades 4 through 8, with 100,000 participants worldwide. Top awards are presented among two age groups.
In MOEMS, our students Nikolai Nawrocki and Ronan Myers earned top 20% scores and Katie Fradkin and Maria Butterworth earned top 25% scores.
